i love to travel. language absorbs & amazes me. i enjoy fresh air, yet can't look away from the city. i have developed a healthy obsession with soccer. i teach spanish & study hispanic linguistics & language science at Penn State.

also, i am quite fond of owls, islands, hookah, cribbage, diversity, snowboarding, reminiscing, rummikub, maps, new tastes (but always turtle cheesecake), scrabble (and words-with-friends: rplatz --> play me!), seinfeld, pure water, and just doin' it.
