fall 2010 semester projects, crunch time

Spanish Language in America: Puerto Rican Spanish, relation between Sociolinguistic variables & consonant neutralization of /r/ and /l/ in syllable-final position.

Spanish Pragmatics: Establishing of power and the struggle to build/maintain rapport in Spain's El Diario de Patricia. Discourse analysis + Speech Acts.

Linguistics Research Methods: The effects and potential of CMC/social networking on L2 acquisition; specifically Twitter and it's informal, open topic, "whatever" context and how that can enhance language aptitude and motivation in general. (Although only a proposal is necessary for that class, I am considering using it for a real project... I have barely any SLA knowledge, so I'm not quite sure yet.)

O meu português vai bem! Ja não é portunhol :-)

Ma français est une merde :-/
